British talk show host James Corden took some swipes at political “comedian” Bill Maher after the latter promoted “fat-shaming” on the latest episode of his show, Real Time with Bill Maher.

“Fat isn’t a birth defect,” Maher said. “Nobody comes out of the womb needing to buy two seats on the airplane. … Fat-shaming doesn’t need to end, it needs to make a comeback.”

The corpulent Corden responded to Maher’s comments during the Thursday taping of The Late Late Show, calling Maher a “dick” and referencing his own struggles with diet and weight loss.

“There’s a common and insulting misconception that fat people are stupid and lazy, and we’re not,” Corden said. “We get it, we know. We know that being overweight isn’t good for us and I’ve struggled my entire life trying to manage my weight and I suck at it. I’ve had good days and bad months.”

“I’ve basically been off and on diets since as long as I can remember and, well, this is how it’s going,” he added, pointing to himself.

He went on to crack a few jokes at Maher’s expense.

“We’re not all as lucky as Bill Maher,” Corden said. “We don’t all have a sense of superiority that burns 35,000 calories a day.”

After showing a video clip in which Maher joked, “It’s not just about being able to see a doctor. It’s also about being able to see your dick,” Corden looked at the camera lens and said: “Believe me, I can see a dick.”

Maher, once a stand-up comic, is lately known for aggressively promoting the Russia-gate conspiracy theory (now dead and buried, $32 million tax payer dollars later), as well as rationalizing Israel’s occupation of Palestine and general criminal behavior.

He’s also an atheist and so, you know, way smarter than you.
