Even though the above outfit looks pretty straight forward Beat Poet have ensured that there’s some subtle attention to detail in each piece. We hark on about their twisted jeans all the time so you should know that there are some sweet nips and tucks occurring to create that effect. And the top half? Three quick pleats on the front of the left shoulder and three again on the back of the right add some extra volume and movement to what you might think is just a simple tee.

Winter 2010 | The Grandpa Hood

As you can see this style is aptly called The Grandpa Hood though it might just be a tad cooler than something your parents parents would wear. It features a knitting technique known as Cable Knit and you can see this in more detail here. It’s so heavy you can’t hang it on a coat hanger and so warm you don’t need to wear pants with it. We joke! That’s inappropriate folks. Only one left in store too.

This isn’t the best start to a post because I’m about to paraphrase a quote. Oh yeah, and I’m not sure who said it in the first place (Alexander Wang comes to mind) but it goes a little something like this: Anyone can get dressed up, I’m interested to see what people wear day-to-day.
