Jesen Wale Shorts $99, CBK Vintage Hawaiian Shirt $40, CBK Summer Singlet in Grey Marle $25 and CBK Vintage Egglplant Cap $20
More style mathematics here at Comeback Kid today and a very simple formula is presented above. What does a playful Hawaiian shirt that’s layered with a classic grey tank, sitting above school-boy perfect green shorts and capped off with an eggplant hat equal? One very casual, out of work and ready for a beer or two outfit! And probably exactly what we’ll be wearing to Laneway Festival when it comes around too!

Just In | CBK Summer Singlet

It seems perfectly fitting that with the 35°C weather today in Melbourne we announce the latest arrival at Comeback Kid: the CBK Summer Singlet! Basically the most basic garment known to man the “singlet” (derived from the ancient Latin word for near-naked) was invented by single people in the early 1960s as a way of showing off their hot bods. Hot bod or not, this style is so easy to layer you’ll find yourself wearing it even when the sun isn’t so sweltering. Available in grey marle, navy, white and black: the CBK Summer Singlet is now in store and will be available through our online store from next Monday!
An easy addition to any summer wardrobe and at $25 a pop, an affordable one too!

Beat of the Street | Snakadaktal and Bleeding Knees Club at Fed Square, Yeah!

The soothing sounds of Snakadaktal perfectly suited Melbourne’s moody weather yesterday.
Last night Fed Square hosted a free gig starring up-and-comers Snakadaktal and Bleeding Knees Club in the lovely surrounds of Melbourne’s unofficial city square (as I like to call it). Both bands were out in full force putting on brilliant live shows (calm perfection from Snakadaktal; punk-inspired tunes and attitude from Bleeding Knees Club) but the crowd also had their best wears on show. Sneaky camera in hand, here are some of our favourite looks amongst the guys:

When acid wash is done well it’s so cool it hurts. This guy was rocking it.

Printed vintage-style (or actual vintage!) short sleeved shirts were a big hit amongst the crowd. Loving the couch-floral and geometric looks above.

This guy had that effortless cool thing going on that we can only dream of. Tying your jumper around your neck and not looking like a Prince Charles? Priceless.

Man jewellery. MAN JEWELLERY! Also, trend spot: little beaded bracelets in earth tones.

Next level up from one print? Two. Yeah mixed prints are still around but that’s because they’re fun. This guy was working it.

You don’t often see mustard yellow shirts but dammit this one is rad. Another example of the vintage short sleeved shirt situation. We like.

To be fair, this wasn’t a good photo so I had to Photoshop the shit out of it (apologies) but we really digged this guys look because it was so wearable but still stylish. Love an open denim shirt over a tee. Nice!
