About Last Night | Pocketto Launch
Last night we hit up the Pocketto Launch, camera in hand, ready to snap the wicked menswear amongst the very good looking crowd. The launch itself was beyond successful: great people, the magazine looked stunning and an awesome time was had by all. What where the guys wearing? Camel colours came through as the big trend of the evening, plus layers due to Melbourne’s ever changing temperature but the overall style-mood was relaxed and everyone was rocking it. Take a looksies:
Check out the texture on this shirt. Yeah. Also, we’re liking how a dash of said shirt is revealed as he rolls up his jacket sleeves. Nice!
I don’t even own sunglasses. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? But if I did I’d totally tuck them into my shirt. Definite cool injection occurring here.
OK this is a photo of a female but what are you gonna do about it? Loving motif jumpers to pieces at the moment. And a good dash of vibrant colour.
Jeepers creepers! Speaking of vibrant colour I shed a single tear for my first sighting of the famed Prada creepers. This gentleman was kind enough to pose as I eagerly took a snap. Love!
More of that camel we were talking about earlier but spot that striped belt detail. Said belt breaks up the tonal element of this look. Subtle goodness.

Striped blazer, checked shirt and jeans. This is a good example of something you could rock at work and after.
Ooh… what have we here? A little CBK preview maybe? Just maybe? Yes we do. That’s exactly what we have. Not long now till this bag is in store (and the tee!).
Ah, I have a very soft spot for crushed velvet blazers (pun intended). I mean, don’t we all? And for the keen observer, another striped belt! Loving this trend.

No joke! We’re pretty darn excited about this giveaway because we’ve been gigantic Architecture in Helsinki fans for some time.

Local Love | Pocketto Magazine Launch Off
Pocketto Magazine is lying to you. This is not a magazine. It’s better. It’s tougher. More resilient. Longer lasting. Worth treasuring. Gosh-darn-it it’s a hard cover bloody book! A coffee table book! But better! It even has a place where you can write your name in it! Kramer would be proud.
This year saw the first ever printed issue of Pocketto Magazine being published (Emma and Aimee the brilliant brains behind it have had an online home since 2008) and we were lucky enough to be given the opportunity to contribute. Aside from being shocked (seriously you guys, you could’ve found less loco contributors) we were also honored and excited! Apart from our gobbledygook words the first issue features stunning illustrations, striking editorial and an interview with singer-of-the-moment Kimbra (pictured above in Upper Left Arm attire).

The festivities run from 6pm through to 8pm at No Vacancy. They’ll be drinking fun and music and copies up for grabs of this beautiful and unique book-magazine-hard-cover-debut issue.
